- Abstract: Torreya grandis ( T. grandis ) oil, a high‐valued product, has abundant physiological functions. Here, T. grandis oil was first extracted with the help of microwave pre‐treatment aqueous enzymatic extraction (MPAEE). Under the optimal condition, the highest oil yield, 94.54%, comparable with Soxhlet extraction and much higher than AEE, was obtained. Meanwhile, fatty acid profiles, regardless of extraction methods, were performed similar, indicating the capability of MPAEE to extract T. grandis oil. In addition, the bioactivity of the MPAEE‐obtained oil, including total phenol (19.87 mg GAE/kg oil), α‐vitamin E (α‐VE, 245.35 mg/kg oil), and total VE (2158.62 mg/kg oil), was superior. It was assumed that the enhanced‐performance of MPAEE was attributed to the destroyed microstructure of T. grandis seeds, promoting the release of oil and its accompaniment. In summary, with characteristics of easy operation, enhanced extraction‐performance, and eco‐friendliness, the MPAEE is an efficient industrialized method to extract nut oil.
