Abstract

ABSTRACT: From the early days of child analysis there have been those drawn to the idea of applying psychoanalytic insights and principles in educational settings. Some imagined creating an ideal "psychoanalytic school." The collection of papers in the preceding section tells the story of the first such endeavor, the 'Matchbox School' in Vienna (1927–1932), along with those of the founding member schools of the Alliance for Psychoanalytic Schools.
