<abstract abstract-type="graphical" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Graphical abstract</title> <fig id="fig0050" position="anchor"> <graphic position="anchor" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgjchxr6tf" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /> </fig> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <italic>Ex situ</italic> prepared novel highly soluble nanomatrix Cr/O-CMCS/n-ZnO NCs which have been used for preferential drug loading. The Cr/O-CMCS/n-ZnO NCs shows higher toxicity and cellular internalization within cancer cells (MA104 cell line) as compared to normal cells (L929 cell line) investigated <italic>via</italic> MTT assay and FACS analysis.</p> </sec> </abstract>
