- <abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">A fed batch fermentation strategy was designed for <italic>Ralstonia eutropha</italic> using organic acids as feedstock.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">Organic acids were fed by pH-stat, and organic acid salts were fed using pO<sub>2</sub>-dependent feed control.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">A fed batch strategy using three successive carbon/nitrogen ratios (10, 90, to infinite) was employed to maximize PHA productivity.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">Biomass yield of 112.0 g/L, PHA yield of 93.5 g/L, and a PHA productivity of 2.13 g/L/h was achieved using the strategy outlined in this work.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
