- Abstract : Dimensional Confinement In article number 2105898, Yung‐Chang Lin, Kazu Suenaga, and co‐workers report the discovery of a new AlCl3 structure in 2D form. Metal chlorides such as AlCl3 and CuCl2 intercalated in bilayer graphene are found to have polymorphic phases, which have not been previously expected in bulk. Utilizing dimensional confinement, the growth of further unexpected 2D materials in the nanospace between bilayer graphene is expected.
