- Abstract: In this paper, easy methods to calculate wet –bulb temperature (Twb ) and dew-point temperatures (Tdp ) for given values of dry-bulb temperature (Tdb ) and relative humidity (γ) are given. The equations for determination of saturation vapour pressure (SVP) have been proposed by modifying the Clausius Claperon equation for two temperature ranges (-40 °C to 0 °C) and (0 °C to 110 °C). The equations for determining saturated water vapour pressure for temperature ranges (0 °C to 110 °C) and (0 °C to −40 °C) have an average error of 0.16 % and 0.108 %, respectively. The Tdp can be estimated by rewriting the equations of saturated water vapour pressure. In addition, the Tdp was also determined by using the steam table. The values of average percentage error for determining dew-point temperature for the entire range (-40 °C to 110 °C) were observed as 0.025 % and 0.24 % for the formula method and steam table method, respectively. When compared with table values. Similarly, a simple method for determination of wet-bulb temperature is also suggested which is also very accurate, the average percentage error being only 0.65 % as compared to table values. The proposed method for determination of wet-bulb temperature and dew-point temperature requires only a steam table and an ordinary calculator.
