- Abstract: In this research work cold-chamber (CC) pressure-die casting of aluminium has been investigate as a case study of manufacturing industrial component i.e. door closer. In this paper, Taguchi based model on hardness of final component in CC pressure-die casting has been evaluated. Product is manufactured at proposed setting and parametric study had been done as per view of statistical point for hardness validation of the door closer. The result of study shows the significant improvement in hardness (as concerned with statistical control) at suggested parametric settings of CC pressure-die casting. The surface hardness was found minimum 76.67HV at metal temperature at 580 °C; Ist phase pressure at 15 N/mm 2 ; IInd phase pressure at 30 N/mm 2 and Die open time at 8 sec and maximum 94.67HV at metal temperature at 620 °C; Ist Phase Pressure at 10 N/mm 2 ; IInd Phase Pressure at 25 N/mm 2 and die open time at 8 sec.
