Abstract

This article has been retracted at the request of the authors. Following publication, the authors expressed doubt about their findings and conclusions from this study. The study concluded that antiviral treatment could not provide superior outcomes to supportive care in mild COVID-19 patients, which contradicted the latest version of Thai national guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19 ("Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. Clinical practice guideline for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of nosocomial transmission of COVID-19" (revision date November 2, 2021)), which state that patients with mild symptoms should be started on antiviral treatment as soon as possible. As hospital policies comply with the national policy, results of this study are also contradictory to hospital policies. This discordance may cause confusion for doctors and may not be appropriate for patients' understanding.
