- Abstract : Heteroepitaxial κ ‐Ga2 O3 Films Despite its potential, κ ‐Ga2 O3 grown on sapphire substrate has not been able to exhibit its complete performance due to the presence of material imperfections resulting from the strain induced by lattice mismatch. By utilizing a β ‐Ga2 O3 template grown on c‐sapphire, high quality κ ‐Ga2 O3 epitaxial layers are achieved as demonstrated by a smoother surface morphology, narrower XRD peaks, and superior electrical performance. This is demonstrated by Junhee Lee, Manijeh Razeghi, and colleagues through structural, optical, and electrical studies in article number 2200559 .
