Abstract

Abstract : This paper mainly introduces the development of 4K HDR "Stacked‐Panel" TV based on Dual‐Cell LCD. Dual‐Cell technology enables significant improvement in display contrast, but the drop of transmittance limits the increase of peak luminance. In this work, we innovatively designed the pixel control algorithm for Dual‐Cell LCD. Moreover, the peak luminance and color gamut were further improved using direct‐lit backlight and QD technology, leading to the outstanding HDR display effect.
