Abstract

Abstract : The Cover Feature illustrates the potential of X‐ray Microscopy (XRM) to non‐destructively investigate the inner workings of batteries highlighting the possibility to visualize each component such as the anode (yellow), the cathode (blue) and the nickel net (green) separately. XRM is a valuable tool for the detection of delamination processes and cracks that occur in the battery which are related to the capacity fade after several charge/discharge cycles.
