- Abstract : Sr2 ScSbO5.6 F0.4 :Mn 4+ presents excellent thermal stability and higher internal/external quantum efficiency with application prospects in indoor plant cultivation. Abstract : Anti-seasonal vegetables and greenhouse planting patterns are being rapidly promoted, and the domestic market demand for agricultural lighting has increased significantly. Far-red light required for plant growth urgently requires development. Here, a novel Mn 4+ -doped red phosphor Sr2 ScSbO6 is demonstrated, emitting from 600 to 800 nm with a peak at 700 nm. The phosphor Sr2 ScSbO6 :Mn 4+ obtained excellent thermal stability by adding flux; that is, the comprehensive intensity of the emission spectrum at 423 K was still 100.87% of that at room temperature. In addition, the introduction of SrF2 increases the internal and external quantum efficiency from 78.41%/41.32% to 86.68%/53.13%. Finally, LED devices were prepared using Sr2 ScSbO6 :Mn 4+ phosphors for plant lighting experiments, and the height of the vegetables cultured under our far-red LEDs was higher. The results indicate that the far-red phosphor Sr2 ScSbO6 :Mn 4+ has wide application prospects in the field of indoor plant cultivation.
