Abstract: In November 2022, the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center hosted a virtual session with global high-level isolation unit (HLIU) representatives to discuss HLIU staffing challenges and approaches. Takeaways are relevant to healthcare institutions seeking solutions to recruit and retain their healthcare workforce amid unprecedented global staffing shortages.
