Abstract

Abstract: A convenient reaction condition has been developed for the preparation of 1, 6-anhydro-1-thio-β-d -glycopyranose derivatives in excellent yield. The reaction condition is significantly fast, clean and can be scaled up for its use in the organic synthesis. Graphical abstract: Image 1 Highlights: 1, 6-Anhydro-1-thio-β-d -glycopyranose derivatives were synthesized. 6-O-Tosyl glycosyl bromides were used as starting materials. CS2 and Na2 S⋅9H2 O were used as sulfur precursors. Significantly fast, straightforward, one-step reaction condition has been developed. All reactions were simple, high yielding and suitable for scaling up.
