- Abstract : Structurally Colored Cholesteric Phases of Cellulose In article number 2205506, Ozge Akbulut, Ahu Gümrah Dumanli, and co‐workers describe a 3D printing of the hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) filaments with two‐order hierarchical structures similar to the multi‐hierarchical arrangement found in nature such as in Morpho butterflies. In this hierarchical arrangement, the helicoids formed in the cholesteric phase of the HPC give rise to blue coloration, while the angular dependence of the color is tuned via the introduction of the periodic wrinkles.
