- Abstract: With the increasingly prominent environmental problems, more and more attention has been paid to new energy power generation. A photovoltaic power generation is currently a well-developed form of new energy power generation. However, in the process of photovoltaic power generation, only part of the wavelength of light can be used to generate power. The rest will be converted to heat, which increases the temperature of the photovoltaic panels, resulting in lower power generation efficiency. In order to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic panels, a photovoltaic-temperature difference (PV-TE) hybrid power generation system can be formed by combining photovoltaic power generation with the thermoelectric generation, which is based on the Seebeck effect. Based on this, we set up the photovoltaic-temperature hybrid power system test bench for testing. The results show that when the working circuit of the TE device is closed, the residual heat of the photovoltaic panel can be used to generate power. It can also cool down the photovoltaic panel at the same time. Thus, the output power increase by about 0.68%.
