Abstract

Highlights: Online escape room-based teaching improves new nurses' effectiveness of learning and knowledge retention for over one month. Learning satisfaction and Collective efficacy are the influencing factors of the one-month posttest follow-up scores. Online escape room-based course format can be used in clinical education and applied in other nursing training courses.
