- Abstract: In the femoral shaft, the introduction of porous structure can effectively reduce the stress shielding effect. In this paper, the S function (sigmoid function) is used to combine P and IWP three period minimum surface (TPMS) structures, and the central composite design (CCD) experimental method and SLM molding technology are used to prepare porous structure samples. The effects of porosity of P and IWP structures, the proportion of P structures and the transition width of these two structures on the mechanical properties of the fusion structure were investigated. In order to find a porous structure suitable for filling the femoral shaft, the design parameters of the fused porous structure were optimized and verified by combining the finite element analysis and multi-objective optimization methods. The results show that the established mathematical prediction model has a high accuracy. The optimized fusion structure can control the relative micro motion of the femoral shaft and femur within a safe range. Compared with the homogeneous porous structure, the fused porous structure reduces the stress shielding effect, but also improves the average porosity, further improving the performance of the porous femoral shaft.
