- Abstract : Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy suffers from complications including cytokine release syndromes and T cell exhaustion. To curb these drawbacks, Jianfeng Zhou, Wenshe Ray Liu et al. report in their Research Article (e202109550) a chemogenetic switch that can be reversibly turned on and off to control the expression of CAR using a clinically approved small‐molecule drug, asunaprevir. This novel technique will potentially enable delicate modulation of CAR‐T activation during cancer treatment.
