- Abstract : Aortic dissection is a rare but life-threatening complication that can occur during percutaneous coronary intervention procedures. We present a case of a 55-year-old woman who underwent a right coronary angioplasty that was complicated by a proximal dissection of the ascending aorta. Urgent surgical repair of the aorta was performed and the patient was discharged in stable clinical condition.
