Abstract

Abstract : The dormant FLP complex [Cp*Rh(κ 3 N, N', P‐L)][SbF6 ], based on a phosphano‐guanidine ligand, is an air‐ and moisture‐stable solid. Nevertheless, in solution it readily renders a coordinatively unsaturated derivative by means of a Rh−N bond dissociation. This dissociated intermediate behaves as a genuine FLP species and easily activates the H−O bond of water under mild conditions and in a reversible manner.
