Abstract

Abstract : Objectives: With compared of Firebird stent and Excel Stent to evaluate the safety and efficacy of polymer-free paclitaxel-eluting stent YINYI in percutaneous coronary intervention. Methods: A total of 360 coronary heart disease patients were enrolled in the study from January 2009 to Dec 2010 in our hospital. All of these patients were divided into YINYI stent group of 118 cases, 130 cases of Excel stent group, 112 cases of Firebird stent group. The instant successful rate of interventional therapy, restenosis rate and target vessel revascularisation major adverse cardiavascular events were observed within 12 months following up among the three groups of patients. Results: Three groups of patients were no significant difference in age, gender, risk factors (hypertention, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, smoking), distribution of disease (acute myocardial infarction, non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome, stable angina pectoris), the location of the lesions, and the number of implanted stents. The instant successful rate of three groups were (98.3% vs 99.2% vs 99.1%, p = 0.84). The comparative results of the restenosis rate, adverse cardiovascular events rate, and target vessel revascularisation rate were (6.1% vs 7.9% vs 7.6%, p = 0.89), (5.3% vs 5.9% vs 6.0%, p = 0.95), (4.2% vs 5.9% vs 3.6%, p = 0.75) respectively in the 12 months following up period. Conclusions: It is safe and effective for polymer-free paclitaxel eluting stent YINYI in percutaneous coronary intervention during recent and middle period.
