Abstract

Abstract : Transcription suppressor Musculin (MSC) is enriched in pro‐inflammatory Th17 and IL‐22‐producing ILC3s. While MSC +/+ mice survived DSS‐induced colitis, MSC −/− mice showed elevated pro‐inflammatory cytokines with severer pathology, reduced body weight, and earlier death. Reversal of colitis symptoms in MSC −/− mice by IL‐22 antagonism suggests the existence of MSC:IL‐22 regulatory axis.
