Abstract

Abstract: We report structural investigation and optical nonlinearities of optical grade thin films made from Ge20 Te75 Bi5 chalcogenide glass nano colloidal solutions in this paper. The presence of reverse saturable absorption is demonstrated by the valley-like open aperture z-scan spectra of nano colloids (RSA). Third-order optical nonlinearities in Ge20 Te75 Bi5 chalcogenide nano colloids were investigated using the z-scan method to enhance the desired features for usage in nonlinear optics.
