Abstract

Abstract : The front cover picture shows the centrosymmetric structure of a diiridium tetrahydride complex, with the iridium atoms showing rare square‐pyramidal coordination spheres. This species forms under dihydrogen atmosphere from a cationic phosphine‐imidazolin‐2‐imine iridium(I) complex, which is an established (pre‐)catalyst for ortho ‐directed hydrogen isotope exchange (HIE). Two derivatives of the so‐called Tamm's Catalyst with fluoroborate and fluoroaluminate counterions could be crystallographically characterized.
