- Abstract : LiNiO2 Cathodes In article number 2211515, Weibo Hua and co‐workers depict that oxygen ions are gradually released from surface lattice of LiNiO2 ( R 3 ¯ $\bar{3}$ m ) cathode material upon electrochemical cycling, resulting in the formation of a macroporous architecture and the reduction of nickel ions. Such chemomechanical degradation can be effectively mitigated through introducing a thin lattice‐coherent disordered Li1‐ x Ni1+ x O2 phase in the primary particle surface.
