- Abstract: Diesel fuel has several advantages over other petroleum fuels, however, its performance largely depends on the cold flow properties like cloud point (CP), pour point (PP) and cold filter plugging point (CFPP) and their poor values may result in fuel solidification leading to blockages of fuel in lines and filters. The cold flow properties as well as physical properties are highly dependent on composition of diesel fuel. Herein, blending of several diesel fuel samples of atmospheric distillation unit, hydrocracker and hydro-process unit were investigated in different ratio. The results of blending indicated that blend DH-9 exhibited significant improvement in the cold flow properties, displaying CP, PP, CFPP at −17 ± 0.48 °C, −22 ± 0.62 °C, and −27 ± 0.03 °C, respectively.
