- Abstract: Two new caffeoyl esters, 5- O -( E )-caffeoyl- β -D -fructopyranose (1 ) and 6- O -( E )-caffeoyl-D -glucitol (2 ), together with a known compound, 3, 4-di- O -( E )-caffeoyl- β -D -glucopyranose (3 ), were isolated from the roots of Aruncus sylvester, and their structures were elucidated based on HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR, and IR spectroscopic data. Compounds 1 -3 improved the movement disorder of the MPTP-induced zebrafish embryos. Graphical Abstract: ga1 Highlights: Two new caffeoyl esters, 5- O -( E )-caffeoyl- β -D -fructopyranose and 6- O -( E )-caffeoyl-D -glucitol, were isolated from Aruncus sylvester . Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and hydrolysis. All compounds improved the movement disorder of the MPTP-induced zebrafish embryos. There were few reports on acylated β -D -fructopyranose.
