- Abstract : Re‐transplantation is the preferred treatment for patients with chronic heart transplant failure. If re‐transplantation is not a viable option due to the patient's comorbidities, left ventricle assist device can be used as the destination treatment. An interdisciplinary approach with thorough follow‐up can help in the early detection and treatment of complications associated with LVAD.
