- Abstract: Graphene and Mxene, a growing family of two-dimensional (2D) materials has received increasing attention in the field of technology worldwide. Since their discovery Mxene, transition metal carbides and nitrides with graphene like structure have received considerable attention. Graphene and Mxene both have shown to possess high potential in future application due to their unique physicochemical properties such as superior electrical conductivity, high biocompatibility, large surface area, optical and magnetic features and extraordinary thermal and mechanical properties. With these good properties, they could be use in various fields of technologies as a flexible electronic like bio-medical, energy storage, superconductors etc. In this review paper, both dimensional materials i.e. Graphene and Mxene are discuses in different area like their structure, their synthesis and their application. Recently, Mxene, one of the novel materials, has shown excellent performance due to its extraordinary properties and it has made a special space in the electronic industry. This paper highlights the basic structure of these materials with the advantages and disadvantages of their synthesis methods. Also, discuss Graphene and Mxene application in the field of Biomedical, sensors and energy. So the performance of Mxene and graphene have analyzed in these applications. Finally, the challenges encountered by Graphene and Mxene materials in various fields discussed towards the futureAbstract: Graphene and Mxene, a growing family of two-dimensional (2D) materials has received increasing attention in the field of technology worldwide.
