Abstract

Abstract : Driven by renewable solar energy, photocatalytic CO hydrogenation offers a promising way to synthesize valuable hydrocarbon chemicals. In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202202891 ), M. Zhong and co‐workers show that an efficient photochemical and photothermal synergy between the nearby catalytic and plasmonic centers can accelerate the reaction. By using Co−Fe5 C2 on a TiC photocatalyst, a 59 % C2+ selectivity and a 30 % CO conversion were obtained at the high GHSV of 12 000 mL g −1 h −1 .
