Abstract

Abstract : The subvastus approach for TKA allows for potential benefits in the early post-operative period when compared the conventional medial parapatellar approach. However, there are concerns about potential difficulties with exposure when using the subvastus approach. We describe simple, reproducible modifications of the standard subvastus approach which can be utilised in cases when exposure is found to be challenging.
