- Graphical abstract: Abstract: Biosynthesized Metal nanoparticles are reported showing various activities viz. antibacterial, antifungal and insecticidal activity. There are various reports on the applicability of silver nanoparticles to control the human and animal diseases published recently. Silver nanoparticles especially are reported showing Antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, and phytopathogenic fungi like Bipolaris sorokiniana and Magnaporthe grisea . Various metal nanoparticles were reported recently showing antifungal activity against pathogenic fungi like Phoma glomerata, Phoma herbarium, Fusarium semitectum, Trichoderma and Candida albicans . Insecticidal applications were also reported for the biosynthesized copper nanoparticles. This review aims for systematic appraisal of selected reports published during last few years (2014–2022) on biosynthesized metal nanoparticles demonstrating bioactivities viz. antifungal, antibacterial, insecticidal activities.
