Abstract

Abstract: In the fall of 2015, Amanda Kragt, a young woman with Down Syndrome, enrolled in a Hebrew course at Western Theological Seminary (WTS). This article traces how Western Theological Seminary's understanding of its purpose and role in the community of Holland, Michigan changed over the years to include offering housing and educational opportunities to people with disabilities.
