- Abstract: Combined with GFRP composites stress corrosion experiments, the traditional virtual crack closure technique (VCCT) is improved, and a new WDN-VCCT method is proposed to calculate the stress intensity factor (SIF) at the crack tip of GFRP composites. Its calculation formula makes up for the deficiency of the traditional VCCT method. The calculation results of the WDN-VCCT method and the calculation results of the stress extrapolation method (SEM) are compared and analyzed, and the actual accuracy of the two methods is fully evaluated. The results show that the calculation accuracy of the WDN-VCCT method is higher than that of the SEM method, the calculation efficiency is faster, and the calculation results are closer to the real value.
