- Abstract : Two orthogonal stimuli, namely electrons and hydroxide ions, were used to probe the mechanical response in a bis‐acridinium rotaxane. Like the yin‐yang representing two opposite but complementary forces, both stimuli trigger opposite mechanical behavior and provide complementary readouts.
