- Abstract : Single‐Molecule Investigations In article number 2205567, Sathish Ramakrishnan and co‐workers present a tunable silicon‐based platform that supports suspended lipid membranes (SLIM) to interrogate membrane protein assembly and dynamics using total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy. By generating bilayers from giant plasma membrane vesicles derived from different cell types, it is possible to capture fast dynamics of protein function on the inner leaflet of cells while retaining native lipid architecture and asymmetry.
