Abstract

Abstract : Cover : Highly conserved regions in biopolymers are often important for binding, catalysis, and other biological functions. In this issue, Rubin ‐ Ben‐Tal describe how researchers can use the ConSurf web server to identify such regions in RNA. The image shows the ConSurf analysis, with conservation grades on the 1‐through‐9 scale (see color bar), mapped on three RNA molecules (from left to right): tRNA (PDB: 4TRA), SAM‐I riboswitch (PDB: 5FK4), and Group II Self‐splicing Intron (PDB: 1KXK).
