- Abstract : In this paper, the fatigue damage evolution law and damage failure mode of flexible braided thin film composites are studied by stress fatigue damage test and scanning electron microscopy morphology test of uniaxial 45° off-axis sample. The results show that the failure mode of the specimens with 45°off-axis angle is characterized by fatigue damage of both the matrix and the functional film and the fracture of the fiber bundle has little influence. In addition, the pattern fatigue stress and fatigue life data of the fatigue test of viscose matrix and functional film under different fatigue loads have the rule of linear equation, which has predictive significance on the safety of aircraft.
