Abstract

Abstract : Osteonecrosis has become the standardized term for a condition of many and varied etiologies. In this brief review, we note the evolution of the standardization of the condition and we also delve into the intraosseous versus extraosseous etiologies. Additionally, we list some of the more common medications known to cause osteonecrosis.
