- Highlights: In this paper, we have identified the integration of Economic Environmental Dispatch (EED) of thermal energy system with renewable energy (wind-solar) system. The proposed approach involves the computation of cost, NOx extraction level and SO2 extraction level whilst satisfying each and every experimental constraint. In the current work, the multiobjective problem has been solved by applying Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II). The simulation results are obtained by applying two test systems on the proposed NSGA-II scheme. Comparative analysis of the proposed system against Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm 2 (SPEA 2) clearly depicts that our proposition yields better results than SPEA 2. Abstract: Economic environmental dispatch (EED) of a thermal-wind-solar power system with battery energy storage system is a significant chore in electric power plant operation that involves allocation of generation among the online units so that the price, NOx extraction level and SO2 extraction level are enhanced concurrently whilst gratifying each and every experimental constraint. In the current research, Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II) has been suggested for solving EED problem. The experimental results of the two test systems obtained from the proposed technique for EED have been fit to that acquired from Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm 2 (SPEA 2).
