- Abstract: The vibration duration is a key parameter for evaluating concrete consolidation quality. Based on the input current changing of internal vibrator drive motor when vibrator was inserted into concrete and pulled out concrete, this paper developed a device and proposed a method to determine the vibrator working state (insert or pull out). The current was collected through transformer and transmitted to single-chip microcomputer after rectified by current input module. The Chebyshev filtering method was adapted to filter the irregular fluctuation of the measured signal. The dual-threshold (idle current threshold and current difference threshold) method was proposed to determine the working state of vibrator. The current difference threshold was calculated using a genetic simulated annealing optimizing fuzzy C-means clustering method and it can distinguish normal current rise caused by inserting concrete and abnormal current rise caused by touching steel bar etc. when pulling out or moving vibrator. Considering vibrating concrete is a continuous process, the minimum vibrating time was flexibly set to correct the inserting state. Two misjudgment conditions were analyzed and proved that they had little effect on the overall accuracy. The identification accuracy and universality of the proposed method and device were verified by on-site application.
