- Abstract: The aliasing signals triggered by multiple wear particles passing through an inductive debris sensor simultaneously are inevitable in practice. To investigate the superimposed characteristics of aliasing signals, the aliasing signals induced by two particles with different spacing, sizes, and different magnetic properties were investigated. The experimental results revealed that there is only one pulse in aliasing signals of two particles with the same magnetic property, and the amplitude of aliasing signals decreases with spacing and increases with particle size. For two particles with different properties, when the spacing between two particles is smaller, the aliasing signal amplitudes were suppressed; while the spacing is larger, the magnetic properties can be distinguished and the sizes can be well estimated by aliasing inductance signals.
