- Abstract: This article studies the influence of different preparation processes of (Sr0.9 Ca0.1 )1/2 La1/2 Al1/2 Ti1/2 O3 ceramics on the microwave dielectric characteristics. Four groups of samples were designed, which are: S1 with H2 O as the ball milling solvent, S2 with C2 H5 OH as the ball milling solvent, S3 with added annealing process to S2 and S4 with 0.1 wt% Ga2 O3 doping on the basis of S3. The X-ray patterns and structural refinements indicate that (Sr0.9 Ca0.1 )1/2 La1/2 Al1/2 Ti1/2 O3 formed a perovskite phase which belongs to the Pm 3 ‾ m (221) cubic system. The connection between the structure and the property is explored using the P–V-L bond theory. The effects of the two ball milling solvents on the particle size were studied by the laser particle sizing. The Raman spectroscopy was used to investigate the impact of the annealing process. The effect of Ga 3+ entering the lattice of the structure was investigated via the TEM. The specific defect reaction mechanism was discussed. In contrast, the sample (S4) exhibited excellent properties with ε r of 40.52, a Q×f value of 50306 GHz and a τ f of 1.19 ppm/°C.
