- Abstract: Mn0.1 Ce0.9 Ox and a series of Nbm Mn0.1−m Ce0.9 Ox catalysts with different Nb doping ratios were successfully synthesized by the citric acid method. Experimental results indicated that the catalytic performances of the Nbm Mn0.1−m Ce0.9 Ox were significantly ameliorated by Nb modification. In particular, the Nb0.06 Mn0.04 Ce0.9 Ox catalyst exhibited over 90% NO conversion in the temperature range of 175–325 °C and had good resistance to SO2 &H2 O. The characterization results revealed that Nb0.06 Mn0.04 Ce0.9 Ox exhibited a larger specific surface area, superior surface acidity and redox property, higher Mn 4+ and oxygen vacancy contents compared to Mn0.1 Ce0.9 Ox . Furthermore, the more active ad-NH3 and ad-NO x species on the Nb0.06 Mn0.04 Ce0.9 Ox sample also greatly accelerated the NH3 -SCR reaction on it. Graphical Abstract: ga1 Highlights: Nb0.06 Mn0.04 Ce0.9 Ox catalyst exhibited over 90 % NOx conversion in 175–325 °C. More active ad-NH3 and ad-NOx species are available on the Nb0.06 Mn0.04 Ce0.9 Ox sample. The SCR reaction over Nb0.06 Mn0.04 Ce0.9 Ox catalyst was accelerated through the L-H mechanism.
