- Abstract: We report the asymmetric synthesis of homochiral metal–organic materials (MOMs) in chiral gels from achiral components. The enantioselectivity of MOMs depends on the chirality of the gel, whereas the synthesis performed in solution phase and achiral gels resulted in conglomerates. Abstract : Asymmetric synthesis of MOMs in gels: Gel phase synthesis of metal–organic materials (MOMs) resulted in homochiral MOMs, which were characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction. The chirality of the gelator dictated the handedness of the MOMs and the enantioselectivity was confirmed by solid‐state circular dichroism experiments.
