- Abstract: Discovery of smart polymers, SP[n], opens up a new era in the field of pharmaceutical and biological therapeutics. These polymers efficiently provide drug delivery systems and are engineered to carry specific cargo molecules to the desired site. Degree-based topological indices and polynomials are serving as efficient tools in mathematical chemistry and chemical graph theory to gather raw facts which determine physio-chemical properties of substance under discussion. First part of this article is about the computation of invariants for some smart polymers SP[n]. In fact we determine closed formula for M-polynomial and many other degree-based indices of these polymers for the first time. In second part we discuss the imbalance based irregularity indices of these polymers. These indices tend to predict the irregularity of molecular structure with the increase in the step size n.
