- Highlights: Three religious/spiritual (R/S) practices – chanting, pranayama and yoga may be used as supplementary mental health interventions. Mental health professionals expressed the need for training to use considered R/S practices as mental health interventions. The need for a guideline regarding using R/S practices in mental health was identified. Findings of the survey may inform possible integration of these R/S practices in mental health clinical settings in Australia.
