Abstract

Abstract: An energy assessment is examined in ten different cities spread across India on a 50 kWp crystalline silicon photovoltaic system comparing the performance of Fixed Rack and 1–Axis Tracking Array. Simulation is done on the photovoltaic systems. The varying methods of installation used for this study are fixed positioning and sun tracking. The software used for simulating the radiation condition is NREL PV Watts. The data is gathered from available data using appropriate conditions for all the considered cities in this paper. The output results show the study of comparison between Fixed rack and 1–Axis Tracking array based on the monthly data and yearly data. The overall potential ability of simulated PV devices for every place taken in the study with unique configuration strategies is also compared and evaluated.
