Abstract

Highlights: Recent papers view domestication as a deep-time Paleolithic partnership and associate the term domestication with colonialism. In hunter-gathers' terms, domestication requires objectification of and domination over reproduction of involved organisms. The plant package of the Levant (and other world regions) reflects human ingenuity on which we still depend here and now. No new domestication model was offered in the papers discussed; New terminologies do not change past realities. In current real politic de-colonialism is a lip service that does not amend global distributive justice or ecological damage.
